Rahul Gandhi officially resigns as Congress President
Rahul says as the Congress party chief, he is responsible for the loss of the 2019 election, which is why he resigned as the Congress President.
“It is an honour for me to serve the Congress Party, whose values and ideals have served as the lifeblood of our beautiful nation.” Rahul Gandhi tweeted today along with a letter.
Rahul Gandhi formally resigned as the Congress president on Wednesday and posted a 4-page letter on Twitter to announce his decision and asked the party’s working committee to choose his successor.
Rahul Gandhi said the Congress Working Committee, should call a meeting at the earliest and decide on a new chief of Congress Party.
